Cylinder oil compatibility tests, Freudenberg, Flender gearboxes ISO 1817:2022

NBR and FKM materials are used for sealing Flender gearboxes from Siemens.
Lubricants to be used in this type of gearbox must pass static and dynamic compatibility tests with the above materials before use.

The stationary cylinders are used for the static tests.

For this purpose, the NBR and FKM materials are freely suspended and completely immersed in the oil.
The ground glass lids and suitable ground grease are used to seal the glasses almost airtight.

For the evaluation of the compatibility, changes in hardness, tensile strength and elongation at break as well as the volume of the NBR and FKM materials are examined.

The tests are to be carried out and evaluated in accordance with Form FB 73 11 008 of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies.

Material: Clean Save laboratory glass ISO 3585, Blue Line Series

Scope of delivery:
- Stand cylinder D: 80 x 5 x 150 mm
- Cover plate D: 90 x 3.3 mm, sandblasted on one side.

Necessary laboratory equipment:
- Heating cabinet for adjusting the sample glasses.
