The screw cap with tamper evident ring for space saving canisters ensures that the canister can be stored or shipped unopened.
When the cap is re-screwed, the plastic edge of the tamper evident ring breaks off when the cap is opened. This makes it possible to check whether the canister has already been opened or not.
The cap can then be reused indefinitely as a normal cap.
