The Comparator System 2000 is based on a versatile 2-field visual comparator with optional illumination unit to ensure correct lighting conditions for colour grading and colorimetric analysis. Sample colour is visually matched in the comparator with graduated coloured glass filters in Lovibond® test discs.

The Lovibond® AF325 is a test kit for visual colour grading of the platinum-cobalt/Hazen/APHA colour number over the range 10 - 250 mg Pt/l. It is commonly used for light-coloured liquids, such as groundwater and chemicals. The colour is determined by visually matching a sample column in a Neßler cylinder with pre-calibrated colour glass standards that are colour stable and insensitive to UV light and extreme environmental conditions. As the sample colours are relatively unsaturated, the kit uses a Nessleriser comparator with a long path depth to ensure greater measurement sensitivity and accuracy.

Consider switching to the EComparator 2000 PtCo for visual and automatic measurement. The best of both worlds.
